Edging and Mulching of the Bases of all Trees within the Estate:
In May 2015, the decision was made collectively to edge and mulch the base of each of the trees. This decision was made, due to the damage that strimmers were causing to the bark at the base of the tress, when removing the grass at the bases of each tree. This damage was weakening the tree, and in some cases killing the trees. As part of the Landscape Maintenance Contractors task now, within their contract we do request, that the base of all trees within the estate are edged, mulched, and maintained.
