Second/Final Laying of the Wearing Coarse:
In September/October 2016, Maddens in conjunction with JJ Rhatigans Ltd., complted the laying of the final wearing coarse of tarmacadam throughout the entire estate. The work commenced in Area 5 (at the rear area of the Palace Fields Estate), and progressed methodically, throughout the entire estate, with minimum disruption.
Each of the water gullys, in the estate, were raised, and reset. All manhole covers were also raised, and completed to within the Galway County Council standards.
This was all completed as part of the final stages of the taking in charge process with Galway County Council.
